If maybe you could give the page number you are looking at of the census it might be easier for someone to be able to help. In Tennessee Colony there was a Coffield Unit Prison. No offense but the lettering matches.
no offense taken. I roll with the punches, haven't many blacksheep but they are who they are and I don't judge their choices. 1 bushwacker, 1 smuggler and one who's rumored to have stole another man's girl and ran off with her. maybe more, but I've yet to hear their stories. may not all be ancestors, but the three above are, as are a lot of good solid individuals. happens in nearly every tree. this census was in 1920 Madison > Justice Precinct 1 > District 101 for S. H. Lindsey, known to me as Samuel Howard Lindsey, husband of Lillie Bell/Lillibel/Lilabel McDonald. her information is clearly Madisonville, Madison, TX. I don't have the page number handy right now. how wonderful to have a census which tells exactly where someone is born! albeit only if they were born in Madison Co., but only for that district, unfortunately-that is, that I know of.
