Gee, Thanks for the offer! No, I have not been able to determine the father of Samuel D. Apparently he was dead or something by 1840, if this is the correct Margaret that I found (and I think it probably is). In the 1830 census for Bedford County, TN there are many Hardin/en/ing families that could possibly fit, so I am really at a "wall " on that one. Samuel D. was married 3 times and sired 16 children that I have been able to locate names for on the census. Seems with all of these people descending from him there would be at least one other researching him! But, if so, I certainly haven't found them!
