    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Sherman Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/XiB.2ACI/1610 Message Board Post: I am a volunteer researcher for the Texas Peace Officers Memorial. Dallas Morning News (9 Nov 1922) reported that Texas Ranger S F SHERMAN was struck and killed by a switch engine while on duty in Palestine, Anderson County. He lived in Winoma in Smith County and was survived by his wife (unknown about children). His death certificate on place of burial is hard to read. It has "Greenwood" in it. I would like any family info about Ranger SHERMAN, where he is buried, if he has a tombstone, any surviving family, etc.

    3. That is Winona, not Winoma. I think there is a Wynoma, Texas so the spelling could make a difference. ----- Original Message ----- From: <delord@ix.netcom.com> To: <TXANDERS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, October 30, 2005 2:14 PM Subject: [[TXANDERS]] Texas Ranger S F Sherman, d. 7 Nov 1922 in Palestine > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Sherman > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/XiB.2ACI/1610 > > Message Board Post: > > I am a volunteer researcher for the Texas Peace Officers Memorial.
