Surnames: Hughs/Hughes, McCuen, Parker Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/XiB.2ACI/1261 Message Board Post: The following Hughs/Hughes left Franklin Co., AL and arrived in Anderson Co., TX between 1850-1860: Easter Hughes, and her children, Isaac M., George, James, William, Albert, Elizabeth, Sarah. By 1870, they have been joined by John R. Hughes and his wife Nancy J. with numerous children. (Not certain how John is related, but is living next door to Isaac.) Easters son William married Malipa; George married K. I. Parker; Isaac married Margaret McCuen/McCune. Am trying to piece this family together and am looking for any descendants. Have census records from 1840 to 1880. Some of the family are buried in Tennessee Colony, Isaac in Palestine. Where are George, Albert, William, James? Who did Elizabeth and Sarah marry? Does anyone have cemetery records on Hughs/Hughes in Anderson Co. other than in Tennessee Colony? Is there a listing of the burials in Palestine? Thanks
