Brooks married Mary Jane Swanson. I found their marriage certificate in Troup County for 1854. She was born about 1831 and her father apparently died about 1832. Today in the Georgia Archives in Atlanta, I found a list of returns for the guardians of several orphans to report on their care. The case was moved from Greene County to Troup County.These reports on Mary Jane lasted from August of 1832 until April of 1847. Swanson Graves married Nancy Wilkinson in 1819. I once lived in Pittsylvania County, VA where there was an area called Swansonville. I knew of a teacher there named Swanson who received many honors. Are the Virginia Sawnsons to whom you referred the ones in Pittsylvania? Ann Lackey
