Betsy LEE was a sister of Levi LEE. She was born about 1823 in TN and her brother Washington Levi Lee was born in 1825 in TN. He joined a wagon train and came to Anderson Co TX in 1857. Betsy LEE married an unknown EMMERSON. and lived in Poynor with Levi's family in her later years. She was blind. Her brother Levi was killed in Virgina at the "Battle of Gains Mills" in 1865. His widow Emmaline SHELBY LEE stayed in Henderson Co TX and raised the children there.. We are searching for the parents of Betsy LEE Emmerson and her brother Washington Levi LEE.
