Can someone please give me the correct pronunciation of Palestine...is the last syllable with a long "I" as in "pine" or short "I" as in "teen". Thanks, Judy

Judy, I was raised in Palestine; we always referred to the City as Pales teen instead of as Pales tine. But as a joke I tell many people that I am from Pales tine, the city of CHURCHES; a church on every corner.
