No, I have no proof of Margarette mother's name or the spelling of her first name either, except that my grandmother was named after her. I am so delighted to hear from someone of the Davis line. I knew that line was out there but not really familiar with names or dates. You have already educated me heaps this morning. I have been in contact with the kind man on this site that does census lookups. What a gem. Do you know if there are others of the Davis line that still live in the Harris County area, as I live just north of there in Mongomery County. I would love to speak with them. Billie
