    1. [[TXANDERS]] Re: [[TXANDERS]] Re: Adams - Re: Confederate Indigent Families Lists, Anderso...
    2. The best thing is to write the Texas State Archives, Austin, TX and ask what is in his file, if he went to war from TX. If you are close enough to Austin for a day trip, it would be worth it. If he or his wife lived untill TX started the pension plan, you would get valuable info about the family. Try the internet to find out if they have a file on him. If you live closer to Houston, they have the confederate records on micro film at Clayton Research Library. Dallas Public Library probaly does too. In 1986 when I started researching, a several friends and I would get together every month or so, leave Galveston County at 0500 hours, stop in Brenham at Mcdonalds for bath room and coffee break, then be in Austin by the time that the Archives opened (not open on Sat.). We called them "killer trips" because we left when the library closed at 5 PM, stopped in Brenham at a steak house, had dinner and were home by ten. To tired to look at our finds, but happy to have made the trip. Happy researching.
