My Cole family moved from Tennessee to Texas around 1894. First to Bonham and then to Anderson County. My g-grandfather was John M. Cole(b 1849) married Alice McCray Cole(b 1849) in Madisonville Tennessee. John Cole died in 1896 in Whitewright, TX. Alice remained in Anderson County, Texas with her children.
