John had a daughter by the name of Caroline, thisCaroline Griffin could be the Caroline Griffin who married your Charles Bishop. William Cole married Martha A. Griffin, Troy and Martha Willingham's daughter. Troy's and Martha's children were: Martha A. b. 19th, Sept. l824 in Ga. married William Cole in Tuscaloosa Co., Al., Thomas J. Griffin b. l826 m . Sarah Martilda Shirley 2nd wife was Francis A. Gray; 3rd Child: William Griffin b. l2 Aug, l828 married Sarah Caroline Freeman; 4th child: Ira Griffin b.l830 married Susan A Mcfarlin they lived in Fayette Co., Al. I have some books on Fayette Co.,Al and on Tuscaloosa Co., Al. I will see what I can find on the Bishops, Bakers, and Coles. I have know one of Troy's sister married into the Joseph Baker family It was in Columbia Co. Ga. Some of the names I have found living near my Griffins and sometimes marrying into the family are Merriweather, Scott, McMichael, Hawkins, and Knox.
