    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/XiB.2ACI/1322 Message Board Post: I am seeking information on my ggg-grandfather, Rev. James B. Woodard. He was born 19 May, 1811 in Kershaw County, South Carolina and died 26 March, 1857 in Palestine, Anderson County, Texas. He is buried in the oldest section of the city cemetery in Palestine. Specifically, I seek any information on records that might document whether he served a Methodist congregation in Anderson County, Texas. I have a photo of his tombstone, which identifies him as a minister in the Methodist Church. His tombstone has fallen and only a partial fragment remains. Britt Thompson [email protected]

    3. The Pioneer Families of Anderson Co. says James B Woodard was a Methodist Minister....don't have page no. --or who gave that info. I understand Methodist conference records are pretty complete...Call your local church & ask where they are kept.
