EAST TEXAS GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY is proud to announce its FIRST FAMILIES OF EAST TEXAS Certificate Program East Texas Genealogical Society is issuing First Families of East Texas Certificates to the descendants of pioneers who lived in Anderson, Henderson, Panola, Rusk and Smith Counties before December 31, 1850 or in Gregg County before December 31, 1880. Our society is attempting to collect information about the early pioneers in order to preserve our past. If you would like to receive a certificate(s) for your pioneer ancestors you may download an application form for the county in which your ancestor lived at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txetgs/firstfam.html . Each county's application is slightly different.
