My great uncle Akin Edwards (b: in Butler, Freestone County, TX) married Lena Warnell in Lake Charles, LA. They lived and raised their family, youngest was W. L. b: 1933 or 4, in Butler. Their older children were Patsy Jo, Billie Dell, LaVern & a dau that I can't recall the name of. I haven't looked them up in the census, but believe the 2 older girls were born between 1917 and 1920; I think they lived in or around Ardmore, OK. Aunt Lena and Uncle Akin owned a store in Oakwood, Leon County, TX in early 1900. Take the dirt road across the woods and it is only 7 miles from Butler. Butler is 22 miles west of Palestine on hi way 84, Oakwood is a few miles less west of Palestine on hi way 79. The two highways part at the Trinity River, both still going west. If my aunt was a member of your WARNELL family I would like info on that family as the marriage is all I know of Aunt Lena. I think she was loved by many nieces, nephews and the great ones too. The was a beautiful woman. I saw her the last time when I was about 17 years old or 50 or so years ago. Good luck with your research, Johnnye
