Hello, saw your post on the Anderson County page....I'm a Graves, my grandfather was Levi Graves and he married a Fannie Kaiser (different spelling that what you have listed) but was wondering if there is a tie? I think my grandfather was born in Alabama in the 1880's when his folks were moving to texas from South/North Carolina. Randy Graves Midland, Texas PS I was born in Palestine, but raised in Corpus Christi.

Dalrymple he was born in 1853 and died in 1887. He married Martha Minerva Bagwell at Sand Springs, Henderson Co.,Tx. Martha Minerva Bagwell was born 4 Oct.1870 and died 21 Oct.1939 at Aley,Henderson Co.,Tx. She was the daughter of Henry V.Bagwell born 1850 in S.Carolina and Anice Anniett Jones, Henry died 1927 at Elkhart,Anderson Co.Tx. The children of Henry and Anice are as follows 1. Martha Minerve Bagwell--info posted 2. Pomelia Ophelia Bagwell (b.2 Jan.1872-Anderson Co.,Tx. Died 22 Oct.1917 at Aley,Henderson Co.,Tx. She married 1st Francis M. Gardner 2nd Robert Lee Gardner 3. James Wooster Bagwell (b.5 July 1877) Died 1942 at Hay Rock, Coke Co.,Tx. He married Myrtle Prigmore 4. Mellie Bagwell-(b. 1880- died after 1900?? Married Dee Hanks 5. Rosa Emma Bagwell--(b. He, or the Archibald Anderson, in the 1850 census is 22 years of age, born in Tennessee, His wife Emily is 18, and also born in Tennessee, and James 7 months old is born in Texas. I'm very confused about her mothers name because Helen's death certificate lists her mother as Mary Reison, but Helens Application for a social security card listsher mothers name as Mary Reeceman. I know Helen was born in Abilene, I got this info from the social security App and it does list Nelson Swain as her father. I tried to get a copy of Helens birth certificate and have not had any luck. She was born in 1890. At the time of the social secuiryt app the address listed was in Durant, OK. Back in late Spring, I re-canvassed the Fort Houston Cemetery. To find someone to assist me with the "Colored" section, I contacted Emmanuel Funeral Home. They referred me to Doris Paxton. She was in the process of raising money to have their portion of the cemetery cleaned. At the time it was really overgrown. I spent several hours with Doris and her elderly uncle, Paul Norris. He is very knowledgeable about the families buried there. The updated information is currently only available through the Palestine library. Jack Selden has been working very hard to get all of the Anderson County cemeteries updated. Since I do not live in Anderson County, so I don't have access to a phone book. Sorry, but I can't give you the number of the funeral home. They are your best bet to locate Doris. Beverly Bailey Odom
