It looks like you might be new to geneaology list posting (if not, sorry!) I thought I would give you a couple of tips that might save you a lot of typing and make it more likely that someone will recognize your family. Genealogists generally refer to the women in their tree by their maiden names. It is implied that they took their husband's last names. This way, you don't have use parenthesis or nee to keep the last names straight. Also, it will help if you include any dates, cities, or other pertinent info in your post. Even if you are not exactly sure of those details, narrowing it down will help people refer to the right decades in their info. When you post to the list, make your subject line a mini "summary" of the family you are looking for. For example, "Camp, Farquar in Anderson Co, TX" I hope you have some luck! This list is full of helpful people, many of whom live in Anderson Co and can help you dig for good stuff! Traci

    3. Hi Betsy, I have been working on a few sets of Camp's in the Anderson County area for about 3 to 4 years now. I don' t seem to be able to place any of your names yet, but maybe we can work together on ironing some of them out if you give me some dates. 3. A virus has been passed on to me by a contact. My address book has in turn been affected. Since you are in my address book there is a good chance you will find it in your computer. I followed the direction below and eradicated the virus easily. The virus (called jdbgmgr.exe) is not detected by Norton or McAfee Anti-virus systems. The virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent automatically by messenger and by the address book whether or not you sent e-mails to your contacts. Here's how you check for the virus and get rid of it: 1. Go to start, Find or Search option. 2. In the file/folders option, type the name; jdbgmgr.exe 3. Be sure you search your C: drive and all subfolders and any other drives you may have. 4. Click "find now" 5. The virus has a teddy bear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe DO NOT OPEN IT. 6. Go to edit ( on the menu bar), choose "select all" to highlight the file without opening it. 7. Now go to the file (on the menu bar) and select delete. It will then go to the Recycle Bin. 8. Go to the Recycle Bin and delete it there as well. IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS, YOU MUST CONTACT ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK, SO THEY CAN ERADICATE IT IN THEIR ADDRESS BOOKS To do this: a): Open a new e-mail message b): Click the icon of the address book next to the "TO" c): Highlight every name and add to "BCC" d): Copy this message.....enter subject....paste to e-mail....

While Marshal Rogers' death would not qualify as line of duty but a personal feud, we like to have a record of each case so we can archive the information for future historians. We hope to update the Ultimate Sacrifice after the May 2005 memorial services. Hopefully we will have most of the open cases solved. If you learn of any other potential LOD deaths please let me know.
