He is relatively young. The area is close enough to be connected. He is very approachable. Call info for his # & leave a message. He may be able to help. 2. Scott, My ancestor JOHN and ELIZABETH (SATTERWHITE) WALDROM/WALDRUM came to Freestone County TX from AL in 1850. They settled in Cotton Gin and are burried in Fairfield. I have them in both the AL and TX 1850 census. One of their daughters married a WEBB in Fairfield. Would they be connected to your family? I beleive that some of their descendants lived in Turlington, east of Fairfield on hiway 84. The father and son drowned on the river. As a child, I faintly remember that day some sixty odd years ago, hearing my grandmother say that they didn't claim kin to the Butler cousins, because anything above second cousins didn't count. If you are from that line I would be glad to share my WALDRON/SATTERWHITE info with you. I have researched in AL & GA on SATTERWHITES and have a lot of info, but have not got John back past his marriage to Elizabeth in Dallas county, AL 1834. I have not been able to connect with any of the descendants of this family. My grandmother, Frances Ann EDWARDS FRANKLIN, took care of her grandmother, Frances WALDRUM EDWARDS untill she died in 1934, the year I was born. I have info on Kate WALDRUM JENKINS & Capt. W.B. WALDRUM. Hope to hear from you soon, Johnnye Carlene KILLOUGH CARLSON

    2. I also have some pictures from the Antioch Cemetery (also known as Old Plenitude Cemetery) near Montalba. I don't have pictures of all the markers, but I have some from my Hanks and Hurbough family lines. I also have pictures from the old Thornton Cemetery, which was on the top of a hill east of Elkhart. I've heard the Thornton Cemetery has been destroyed, but the pictures I took were 15+ years ago.
