I am at a brickwall for the parents, siblings and other background information on my GGGgrandfather. WILLIAM L. MURPHY b.1825 and wife MARY ANN EIDSON b. 1823, who came from McNairy Co. TN to Titus Co. TX in 1847. They lived near Omaha between White Oak Creek and Sulphur River. Three children were born: WILLIAM TRAVIS MURPHY born 1853 JOHN WESLEY MURPHY born 1855 MARY EMILY MURPHY b.1856 married JOHN SANDERS ROGERS in 1872.
