The Texas Roll Call List is less than a week old and we already have over 200 members. If our list continues to grow this fast we might experience a few growing pains. Please be understanding. If you have a suggestion as to changes on the list, or suggestions as to how the list is run, please contact me not the entire list. kburnet@efortress.com I know, Roll Call is a broad subject, so a few items to think about that might help each of us as we enjoy the many postings that are happening and will happen on this list in the future. 1) If you know the County or Counties put them along with the surname in the Subject line. 2) Add as much as you can to the body of the message. If you know dates, add them. If you know Counties, add them. If you know first names add them. 3) If you know nothing but a surname, you are welcome to just post the surname. 4) It would be helpful if you capitalized your SURNAMES. Please keep in mind, these are not rules, just helpful suggestions. My goal for your list is to keep it a safe place for you to share information regarding those you are researching in Texas. Safe meaning a place where you are not subject to postings other than those related to the subject of this list. Just a reminder as to the rules of this list so that it is better for each of us. Posting of virus warnings, test messages, chain letters, political announcements, current events, items for sale, personal messages, flames, etc. (in other words - spam) is NOT ALLOWED and will be grounds for removal. Consideration for exceptions, contact me at kburnet@efortress.com If a problem arises on this list, know that I will take care of it. Let it pass. If each of you send a message to the list complaining about a problem posting it will just multiply the situation.
