Mathilda Schoen came to New Orleans in the Ship Olbers from Bremen in 1852 with four small children: Henry, Clementina (also known as Maria, my ancestor), Oscar, and Robert, the latter an infant. Henry Shane, a famous Indian fighter, had many descendants. Maria Schoen Brown/Braun had two children who survived to adulthood. Nothing is known of Oscar or Robert's descendants. Are any of Mathilda's descendants, besides the Browns, interested in genealogy? I have information to share.
