William Murray, division passenger agent of the Illinois Central railroad, headquarters in New Orleans, is a guest of the Lawlor. Mr. A.E. Sternenberg was suddenly called to Giddings in answer to a telegram announcing the death of his brother, Mr. M.C. Sternenberg. Mrs. W.G. Van Vleck, after a two months' summer outing in the North, has returned, and will be at home to her friends at 1416 Main street. Fred D. Miller, traveling passenger agent of the Illinois Central, with headquarters in New Orleans, is in the city on a business trip, and is a guest of the Lawlor. Major W.N. Marvin, the big land man of Edna, was in the city on business yesterday.
