Jas. F. TAYLOR Article Text: Marshall, Tex., March 6.--Col Jas. F. TAYLOR, one of the oldest and most highly honored citizens on this county, died at his residence near Marshall at 11:30 a.m. yesterday and was buried in this city at 9 o'clock to-day with masonic honors. Col. TAYLOR was born in Adams county, Miss., Feb. 2, 1812, and moved to Harrison county in 1845. He served two terms in the lower house and two terms in the senate of this state. He was past grand high priest of the grand chapter of Texas masons; was also grand master in 1859. Col. TAYLOR was a steward in the Methodist church for a number of years.
