T. Chancellor Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Death was not unexpected, as Mr. Norwood had been in a precarious condition for some time. He was in a weakened condition when the operation was performed and was never able to regain his strength. The devoted wife and mother of Mr. Norwood had been at his bedside constantly since his first illness and many friends have called during the long period of illness to assist in caring for him. Never was a braver battle for life exhibited than that put up by Mr. Norwood during his long illness and physicians marveled at his recovery at times when he was at the brink of death. Mr. Norwood had been a citizen of Athens for many years. He was married to Miss Odie Mae Chancellor about a year ago, who survives him. His mother and other relatives also survive and were at his bedside when the end came.
