H. Ballard Article Text: Athens Review June 21, 1901 Obituary W. H. Ballard was born in the year 1840 in Alabama. He lived a consistent member of the Methodist church for quite a number of years. In after years he came to Texas where he lived until his death. After he came to Texas he joined the Christian church of which he lived a member until his death. He was a charter member of the Central Texas Musical convention. He was a dear lover of music and as a teacher was a success. He was one of our best singers and his place in the convention was filled for a great many years. The later part of his life was spent in Hunt county, where he died about three years ago.
