KEITH Article Text: Beaumont, Tex., Oct. 8.--The remains of John W. KEITH, who died at Union, W. Va., on Saturday last, arrived here last night and were interred this afternoon. They were followed to the grave by a large concourse of people, the funeral procession being the longest ever witnessed in this city. Out of respect to the memory of the deceased the public schools and all of the business houses of the city, including the mills, were closed during the progress of the funeral. Mr. KEITH was one of the pioneer millmen of east Texas and was widely known through his official connection with some of the mills of this section. He had been alderman, treasurer and mayor of the city, and filled these offices acceptably to the people. He was a man of large charities and was universally loved.
