I had sent the newsletter containing my trip to Oklahoma to my cousins that went with me. I kept thinking about the two Stuart graves that I knew nothing about. This thought kept rolling around in my head...and yesterday it hit me. The grave known as Martha Stuart....is my Uncles wife. How long had I searched for info on her?! How long had I searched for info on her parents??! The cousin that was also looking for my Montee...is the granddaughter of this Martha. Here I am on a committee of a genie society....and I didn't even make the connection. I feel stupid.

I'm sure ANY of us that has done genealogy research for any length of time has "been there, done that, and got the T-shirt" with something like that. No need to feel stupid, but at least now you know where you can get some info! *I've* made about six trips back to Iowa before a similar connection finally clicked in my head! LOL! Several generations of my ancestors never left the county, so it was logical their kids probably didn't either! Duh! I've learned now to at least take digital photos of any headstones with similar names, so if I make the connection later at least I'll have a reference for what to look for if I get back to that cemetery. Cheers, Phil
