For those persons not able to attend our meeting today, you really missed a good meeting. Mike Vaughn was our speaker and he spoke on divorces as a source of genealogical information. It was very informative. He has graciously allowed us to place his handouts on the subject on our society website. His handouts are on the following page: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txetgs/Meetings/2007/200704mtg.html They are Adobe PDF files. There are three of them. The first is an outline of his talk. The second is a form of a bibliography and is very detailed in how to find divorce files in the various states. Divorce files are dependent upon "where" and "when" they occurred, as his talk so completely explained. The third is an example of one divorce which occurred in Kentucky and shows what a varied amount of information might be available. Larry Lawrence E. Oliver ETGS Web Master
Thanks for the Handouts. Sorry to have missed the meeting. Today I lost my last living-link to the last generation....my little red-headed Aunt, 93 yr. old this year. She was the last of a large, long lived family. Sun ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lawrence E.
