And let me know if you have any questions. Are you a member of Clayton Library Friends http://www.claytonlibraryfriends.org/ or the Houston Genealogical Forum http://www.hgftx.org/ (there are several other area genealogy societies as well, including 'plain jane' & ethnic). If you're doing your own family histories I'm sure you are probably familiar with Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research (one of our nation's 'top ten,' when you mix apples & oranges http://www.houstonlibrary.org/clayton/ , which is a unit of the Houston Public Library system http://www.houstonlibrary.org/index.html housed on it's own two-city-block square in multiple buildings. Several of us also offer genealogy classes for varying hours and cost. Genealogy and history certainly go together - the full story cannot be told with only names and dates. But source citation is required; even the information one pulls off the Internet must be checked to see if the source given is accurate. If you're interested in doing more than your own family history, depending on how long you're been doing genealogical research, or rather, how much you've done, you may be interested in joining the Association of Professional Genealogists - check our website at http://apgen.org/publications/ and we have a Texas Chapter - what else except Lone Star Chapter? We'll be at the Angelina College Conference to answer questions, or I would be happy to answer questions. Trevia Trevia Wooster Beverly Houston, Texas treviawbeverly@houston.rr.com 713.864-6862

    3. My friend Jack from San Jacinto High school explains it all to me. Actually, it's San Jacinto Jr. College and it's central campus is located in Pasadena TX. It has several satellite campuses', one being the North Campus. Rest assured, our 'old High School still exist, but under the name of HCCS.....Houston Community College System, with our old school being the central campus. I have basically not lived in Texas since 1961-- leaving to join the Navy and visit the East Coast then in 1967 moving to the West Coast to WA state-- only visiting Texas once in a blue moon (which by the way is coming up-- the blue moon that is) Thanks to all that helped out on this question.
