In this case, a CHILDERS married a NEWMAN. Amanda Elizabeth CHILDERS married a Newman. Amanda's mother Julia Ann Keziah STREET married 1) Holman CHILDERS in Ms. He was killed in the Civil War. Julia Ann's sister, Lucinda Amanda STREET, was married to John Seal COX; this sister Lucinda Amanda STREET, was 1st wife of John Seal COX. After Lucinda Amanda's death, Julia (her widowed sister) married 2) John Seal COX , and Julia STREET Childers-Cox and John Seal COX were the parents of my Gr Gr Grandfather Daniel Cox. Hope I've written this in an understandable way. Some relatives say my Gr Grandfather Daniel Cox was a half-brother of Amanda Elizabeth CHILDERS (child of Holman Childers & Julia STREET Childers. I often chide them and say, "No, he was a 3/4 brother of Amanda's, because her mom was Daniel's mom's sister. This gets confusing, doesn't it?
