You know, Larry, I read in one of those old ETGS newsletters you put up that when we had our original name tags made, we took orders at the meetings, then had those filled, went out and paid for them at one time, brought them back to the meeting , everybody picked theirs up there, and paid for them. I wonder if that might help sell those, since everybody is so busy these days, and people don't take time to go pick them up?     3. A walking history tour, "Spirits of Oakwood" is planned for 2-6 p.m. Saturday, in the historic Oakwood Cemetery, located at the corner of Palace and Oakwood streets in Tyler. Tours will begin every 20 minutes and last approximately 1-1/2 hours. The last tour will begin at 4:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per person, and the event is open to the public. The entrance for this event is the back gate of the cemetery on Ellis Street. "Spirits of Oakwood" is sponsored by the Oakwood Cemetery Restoration Committee. For more information contact Maxine Herbst, Chairperson at mhautumn@aol.com or Jerry Wilson, city cemeterian at 903-531-1207. Also ETGS is nearly finished photographing the cemetery and is presently compiling a new inventory. We are looking for information about any unmarked graves.
