The online materials encompass books, manuscripts, and other historic materials from over seventy collaborative partners. This free resource opens many sources to genealogists as well as to other serious researchers and scholars and can be accessed on home computers. Hi All, There is a very nice article in today's Tyler paper about the restoration of one of Smith County's historic cemeteries - Oakwood Cemetery. I would like everyone who has family buried to make sure we photographed their tombstone. If you don't find a photo it might tell us if it was missed or missing. If you have a photo of a tombstone that we don't have, we would like to get a copy. If you a better quality or easier to read photo, we would love to get a copy of it also. We are really interested in any photos of the African American section of the cemetery. Nearly all of the markers are gone.
