    3. Anyone have any information about the 10th Texas relating to Capt R. S. Lyles, Co H. He was my wife, Ruby LylesGresham's , greatgrandfather. He died March 31, 1865 while in service. Was wounded at Chicamugua and again at Alatoona Ga. Thanks Troy Gresham

    2. I am the assistant coordinator for an OKGenWeb site. I am canvassing and transcribing cemeteries to be placed online. A few days ago at a small country Choctaw cemetery I encountered a headstone with the following. " Pvt Maurice Cass, 1836 - 1926, CO. H Walker's Reg, IND TEX Cav, CSA" . Can anyone help with the information on this headstone. This cemetery is located in Haskell County, S.E. Oklahoma. This person was born in this area and enrolled by the dawes commission. James Brown

    2. Hi List, My gg grand father was William James SPARKS who was Adjutant, Co. B of the Tenth Calvary. He was b: September 19, 1831 in Georgia and came to Titus County, Texas with his family as a young boy. At the outbreak of the war he was a newspaper editor and a lawyer. He died January 31, 1895 and is buried in Montague County, Texas. William's two brothers A.W. Sparks and John Napoleon B. Sparks served in the Ninth Texas Calvary. Jan
