I am looking for a couple of brothers, Thomas [Charles] Leonard, b. 1833/34, Alabama, and James [Austin] Leonard, bef 1832 Ala or NC. They probably had slaves til abt 1860/1861, Thomas ended up in Newton county, then Polk county. Don't know where James went. Should both be in East Texas somewhere.
