    3. Hi Lois & Fellow listers, When you subscribe to a mailing list through rootsweb, you & many others are ALL subbed to whichever list you/they chose to subscribe to. EACH subscriber will recieve EVERY post that is made to that list. If you are requesting a lookup then the best thing you can do is hope that someone has access to the county & year for the information your needing. You will just have to bear with all the postings & hope someone can find what your looking for. If you think your the only one on the list requesting a lookup I'll clue you in on this lil tidbit. If your subbed in the "L" mode, you are one of about 350 other subscribers that each get the exact same mails you do. If you are subbed in the "D" mode, you are one of about 200 subscribers & you still get all the mails, they just come out about every 18 hours in a "Digest" type mail. If your doing lookups, then YOU are the backbone of our list !!! (I still say there is a very special place for our volunteers !!!!) Good Luck to ALL & A Very Special "Thanks" (which I am sorry I don't let you all know often enough just how really special each of you are !!!!!!)
