    3. Dianne, There are 40 Hardins indexed in the HOH index for 1860 Texas, none in Grayson County. There are 49 Hardens - five in Grayson: A., age 61, white male, born KY (no young children in this household) James, age 16, white male, born AR Rice, age 23, white male, born IL Wm., age 17, white male, born IL Wm., age 16, white male, born IL I only find one John or J-initialed Harden/Hardin indexed in 1860's every-name index at Ancestry who was near in age to being born in 1854. That one was indexed in Shelby County, had parents named JD and Susan, who were both born in NC. I also checked all the female Harden/Hardins indexed in the every-name index who were born in Arkansas, and none of those had a son named John or JT. Sorry not to be able to help. Linda in Georgia Reminder - Subject line should read - Year/County/SURNAME - thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, July 23, 2004 1:19 AM Subject: [TX-CEN] 1860 census lookup > I'm asking a big favor: is it possible to get the names of head of house- > holds residing in Texas named Hardin in 1860?
