    3. Hi John, Always change the subject line of the email to reflect what the search is for. (i.e. you asked for 1870 this time.) I changed it myself so archives would be correct. I guess this is the correct Joseph Mims. It is the only one listed in the U. S. for 1870. Maybe the enumerator got carried away with ditto marks. The listings above Joseph were born in TX. 1870 Brazoria Co., TX, Brazoria P.O., July 21, 1870, Pg 172 1547, 1547 Joseph Mims, 43, M, W, TX, farmer, Real Estate $4,500, Personal $2,500 Susan, 30, F, W, AL, keeping house Mary, 12, F, W, TX, at home Columbia, 10, F, W, TX, at home David, 8, M, W, TX Susan, 3/12, F, W, TX, born March There's very little 1890 available. I tried Joseph, but nothing was found for him. Good luck, Linda in Texas ----- Original Message ----- From: "J Driver" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, July 10, 2004 3:08 PM Subject: Re: [TX-CEN] 1900/Kaufman County/Mims > Hi Linda, > Thanks very much for the 1900 census lookup. 3. Hi Linda, Thanks very much for your help. I'm sorry I forgot to change the subject line - I know the rules and should have done it. This is not the J. A. Mims I am looking for. Mine must have hidden from the census taker in 1870 since you said the one you found was the only one in the US. Again, Thanks for your help. John
