However it is possible that he was born in SC since the Brazier family came from SC between 1830 and 1840. Since I think this James was born in 1839 (the one in the 1870 census that is married with a family) ..... this might give me a clue where his closest older brother was born. So if you don't mind I will request a lookup of the 1870 census and place it on the list right now. Like I say..... I haven't heard anyone on the Rootsweb Lists in days and days and days although Rootsweb says I am still active on the lists. By the way, "Cager" is my 3rd GGrandfather. Luckily the 1880 Census is online and I already had that information recorded. I was just missing critical census information between 1850 and 1880. My thinking was that if someone could find "ole Cager" in 1850 that I might get an idea of his early family (and or first wife). David [email protected]

    2. Thanks Linda, As I mentioned the Rootsweb server has been down (forever in this area) so I had no way of knowing if it posted my 1870 request or not. I did send the 1870 request but it is somewhere in the Rootsweb server (probably never to be found again). <g> Once again, thanks for your great help and assistance. I appreciate it.
