    3. I'm looking for Clark L. Griffin (female), born February 1892, widow of Tolson G. Griffin. She was last known to be in Potter County, Texas on the 1919 Amarillo City Directory residing at 1407 Van Buren. Any help would be greatly appreciated.     3. The 1920 census is indexed by head of household. I didn't find her indexed, so I checked all the Griffin households shown to have been enumerated in 1920 Potter County. None of those included a Clark or similar given name. There IS a Leona Griffin, age 23, single, who was enumerated as a boarder and working as a checking clerk in a bank. Is it possible that the widowed Clark L., born 1892, and the single Leona, born 1897, is the same person? Did she remarry? Might she have been living with relatives and mis-enumerated with the incorrect surname? Sorry not to be able to help.
