    3. Yes, she is the right one. Thanks, ThenZachary Martin family is listednext to Sallie Carr's family in Precinct 1, Montgomery Co. 1880 census; that was Martha's husband. Thats 2 of the girls; fromVOdena@aol.com, I recieved 1870 censusMontgomery Co Tx. Boggypct., P O danielle, Tx James P. Carter, 41,m,farmer, Ms-Carolyn Carter,25,f,house,Tx.-Judah Carter,19,m,farm labor,Ms.-Cooper Carter,17,m,farm labor,Ms.-Susan Carter,15,f,Ms(Francis Susan"Fanny"-Laura Carter,13,f,Ms.(Laura Van)-Nancy Carter,10,f,Ar.(Nancy Jane)-Daniel Carter,8,m,Indian territory(David Mallard)-John Carter,6,m,Tx.-Texas Carter,6,f,Tx.-James Carter,4,m,Tx.-William Carter,2,m,Tx.- Artimage Carter,1,f,Tx.(Possibly Artimesa Evelyn age 17)--This was Catherine Carr's family( I don't know why she would jhave been listed Carolyn.) Of Course Aquilla and Martha and their family was in Harris Co 1870 census. You are probably right about them being elderly and had died, but I have searched quiet a bit and have found nothing on either of them. What, with all the name changes, do I expect? I noticed that you had Vick, J.Henry with wife Josesphine(He was married to Irean Isabella (Aunt Bell) living next to Dred Carr(Mygrandfather) He was listed with Sallie as Drayton in the 1880 census. His name was Etheldred Thomas. Back to OUR Carter family, Catherine was married to a Cooper and possibly Eugene Porter, and Jessie Carter was married toMelvina Brooks, and possibly another one with the children I listed was from all tbhose different parents. It is a difficult puzzle. Thanks for your help. I didn't have Angelina's 1880 info. Thanks again. Catherine is buried next to My Grandfather Uncle Dred in the Splendora Cem. I am looking at the Freeman Cem listings, the Vick Cem. The Pilgreen Cem for any Carrs , Carters, Taylors,Vicks, Metts, Smiths, Cagles,Martins,Kellys, and some other connecting Families. Oh Ye I wish I lived in the "Conroe area", but I live in Lebanon, Tn. I would love to have a couple of days at the Library there.
