Need a look-up to see if anyone can help me solve a mystry: I am looking for who my grandfather and his brother was living with in 1890 and hope that they are listed with someone in the 1890 Panola County, Texas census. Henry Pinkney Matthews was born in Carthage, Panola County, Texas July 5, 1874, and his brother Robert was born there is 1876. They, and their mother, Jessie P. Midyett Matthews are listed in the 1880 census of Panola County, Texas. Jessie died in 1887 and the two boys went to live with "a relative". If they are listed on the 1890 Panola County, Texas census Henry would be 16 and Robert would be 11. The person that the two boys are living with in 1890 would probably be a GOLDEN, ODEN, MIDYETT, or a MATTHEWS. Don't know. Any help that anyone can provide would be most welcomed. Thanks, Noel

Hello Noel, I am sorry to have to tell you, but most of the 1890 Federal Census was destroyed by fire. Nearly all that information was lost forever. Too Bad.
