Delphine: I note that the chap you're researching was a Methodist minister. There's a list devoted to Methodism in Texas; can't remember its address, but it should be easy to find. They may be able to give you information on the Rev. Mr. Cameron directly. If not, they can at least point you in the right direction: i.e., give you the name & address of the Archivist of whichever Conference Abilene is in. Note that historically there were two catagories of Methodist ministers. Individual conferences kept complete records for those who were fully ordained and published obits of them in the minutes of the annual Conference meetings. The other catagory was composed of men who were licensed to preach but were not ordained. They were called "locals" and no Conference records were kept concerning them. So if your Charles S. Cameron was ordained there's lots of information on him within easy reach.
