Hello Kimberly, I did not find a James E. Brown in McLennan Co. but did find William and Susan. Here is what I find on them. William Brown Head, Age 70, Himself and parents born TN, Suzana Wife, Age 69, Herself and parents born TN, William was renting his home, he was able to read and write, he was a Laborer for the Rail Road. Suzana may have been able to read, but not write, she was a stay at home mom. With more information I may be able to find James, was he married in 1920, wifes name, children ? Any information might help to find him. The information on this census is as of Jan. 1, 1920. This is from Precinct 5, McLennan Co. TX, Roll: T625_1831, Page: 1A, ED: 142, Image: 0924, I hope this helps some.
