I am looking for John Holcomb and his wife Cora E. Holcomb. Cora was born in 1877. They had one child that was born and died 24 Feb. 1900. That's all that I know about them. Thanks so much!! Susan Harnish

Hello Susan, Here is what I find on this family. Lonzo Holcomb Head, Age 25, Born MO, Father KY, Mother VA, Cora E. Wife, Age 23, Born KY, Father KY, Mother TN, Sarah A. DeWitt Boarder, Age 67, Born IL, Father TN, Mother VA, Lonzo was born in July of 1874, he has been in present marriage for 1 year, he is a Day Laborer, months not employed is 3, he is able to read and write, he is renting his home. Cora was born in Sept. of 1876, she has been in present marriage for 1 year, she is the mother of 0 children, 0 living, she was a Millner, which is a Maker of Women's Hats, months not employed is 9, she was able to read and write. Sarah was born in May of 1833, she was a widow, she was the mother of 2 children, 2 still living, she was a Land-lord, she was able to read and write. The information on this census is as of June 1, 1900. This is from Justice Precinct 8, Denton Co. TX, Roll: T623_1627, Page: 12A, ED: 58, I hope this is of some help to you. Susan, I don't find this couple indexed. There is one Cora Holcomb indexed in 1900 Denton County, born Sep 1876 in KY, married one year to Lonza Holcomb, no children. I don't find any John or J. Holcomb/Halcomb or similar indexed in Denton County at all, though there are many of that name indexed throughout the state. Sorry I wasn't able to help. Hopefully someone else will have better luck.
