Hello; I am looking for my gg grandfather Alonzo "Lon" Allen. Born Feb 10 1855 in Cedar Co., MO. He was apparently a Texas Ranger, most likely prior to his marriage in 1889, and I've found mention of a Lon Allen in reference to lawmen in the Collins Co. of TX between 1867 and 1873. If a Lon/Alonzo Allen could be found in the Census of 1870 or 1880, I could compare ages, thus determining whether this reference should be followed up on. Thanks in advance Brenda Pedersen
