Brenda, I didn't find your Alonzo or Lon Allen indexed in 1880 Texas, any county. There were lots of Allen families indexed in 1870 Collin County, but no Alonzo, Lonzo, Lon, or "L" initial. The 1870 index for the state shows two Alonzo Allens (no Lons). One indexed in Refugio County was age 55, born in Vermont, wife Ann, age 45, born Vermont also. Another was indexed in 1870 Corpus Christi Township, Newton County, but that township is not online in the Ancestry census images. Sorry. Linda in Georgia Census/Cemetery Lookup Volunteer Genealogy is my ONLY business. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brenda Pedersen" <brpedersen@sasktel.net> To: <TX-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, October 03, 2002 12:06 PM Subject: [TX-CEN] Collin county/1870,1880/surname Allen > Hello; > > I am looking for my gg grandfather Alonzo "Lon" Allen.
