Could someone please look up: George Washington Shelton b. Jan 28, 1877 in Ellis Co. Texas on 1890 Census. Married Elizabeth Angieleaner Turner (when/Where?) b. Aug 20, 1980 d. Sep. 26, 1973 both buried Old Runnels Cemetery, Ballinger Texas. Many thanks Ronne Shelton

I don't believe there is an 1890 census surviving, but did check 1880 and 1900 with no luck. There were many George Sheltons indexed as heads of household in 1900 Texas, and I checked all those with a "W" initial, as well as all those with no middle initial at all, and all indexed as GW Shelton/Sheldon, and found none born 1877. Could he have perhaps been enumerated in the household of his parents, or another Shelton relative? Any idea who? Because he also doesn't appear in the every-name index for 1880 Ellis County census, I am wondering if they left the state for a while shortly after he was born. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
