Hey, Wanda. That should have read "could" instead of would. I think you need at least the basic subscription to access the indices at Ancestry. I am sure that access to the actual census images requires a separate subscription, but am pretty sure the indices are included in the databases accessible with the minimum subscription. Someone will correct me if I am wrong - and Lord knows, I've been wrong before.
