Linda, is there a Webb site that I can go to and look up John W. Cox (and hopefully Almarinda), 1850 Census, United States. Since I have had no luck finding them in any of several states in 1850, I thought I might just look for the whole USA. They have to be some where! They married in appx. 1847. First child William R. Cox, b. June 22, 1848, second child John Cox, b. April 9, 1850. Thanks so much! Janet --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Janet, I am pretty sure you can access the national AIS index through Ancestry's home page. Just use the advanced search feature - and it wouldn't hurt to use the Soundex option instead of Exact spelling because of the Cocks spelling variation. You won't know what their wives names are, but you can make a list of all the John Coxes indexed and go from there. Much luck!
