Hi Can someone having access to the 1860 & 1870 Texas census please look for Jesse Brookshire/Brookshier/Brookshere/Brookshaw/Brooksher. He was born abt 1790 possibly in South or North Carolina. I found where he bought land in Wharton County 1858 and in Hopkins County in 1861 but don't know that that's where he lived. Thank you Susan Jurado
