Please check to see if there is a William Patterson there at this time. I was told My Gr grandfather, James Louis Patterson was born in "Red River",May 4, 1849, and I never could find anything . I have recently found out there is also a Red River Par. Louisiana right across the state line almost. William Patterson would have been 28, b. NC. Wife, Sarah Edmons Patterson, age 36, b. VA Thanx, Wanda
No William or W initial Patterson indexed in 1850 Red River County, Texas. There was a Patterson widow in Red River who had no apparent son named James - also a J. A. and Susan Patterson, both age 28. He was born in Tennessee and she in North Carolina. They DID have a son named James, but he was enumerated as age 5, so I don't think he's the one you need. I also checked 1850 Louisiana (that's mine too), and don't find that they had a Red River Parish in 1850. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, Linda in Georgia Census/Cemetery Lookup Volunteer Genealogy is my ONLY business. ----- Original Message ----- From: <LARWAN3@aol.com> To: <TX-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, September 27, 2002 6:01 PM Subject: [TX-CEN] Red River/1850/Patterson > Please check to see if there is a William Patterson there at this time.
